Time Capsule 2.0: In 12 months we delivered a fast & private RPC node, Sidekick Web minting, Sidekick Wallet extension, and grown the number of wallets managed by Sidekick to over 1,000. We secured commitments of $100K investment in Sidekick, putting Time holder’s valuation at $1.5M (0.5ETH/Time). Though the valuation is a great step forward, it doesn't build enough liquidity to open withdrawals without shutting down Sidekick operations. For now you'll see your Time from the last Capsule reflected now as “Sidekick Shards” in the Vault until such time as we secure sufficient funds to enable withdrawals. We'll be releasing some polls shortly to get your opinion on a few options we have & gauge your risk tolerance, as there are options that could enable withdrawals in as soon as 8 weeks.

So we're moving to monthly Time Capsule sprints, leveraging crypto trading to maximize your Time. These will be high-risk high-reward plays. Welcome to the next generation of the Time Capsule!
In this, our third iteration of Time, everything has seen an upgrade. With a modern website, new monthly Capsule openings, fresh Time IDs in a new pixel art Design Studio to replace your briefcase, easier tool access, free sub-ENS handles for all your wallets, and an easier way to value Time, the Society of Time Travelers has never been better.
Time Capsules are moving to a monthly schedule, so you can acquire and redeem time during the last weekend of every month. As opposed to NFT trading or software development, this new generation of Capsules will be largely focused on trading crypto like ETH & BTC to generate liquidity on a consistent and rapid basis. An internal test run last month had tremendous success, giving us confidence in the success of this format.
We've also simplified Time valuation. Instead of acquiring units of Time with specific value attached to them (like 0.1E per Time), we'll account for them simply as "X ETH of Time" so that you can easily see changes each month and add or withdraw as desired with simplicity.
The new website gives you quick access to all your tools in one place, and we've ensured it's mobile-friendly so you can use it while on the go. The upgraded databases and frameworks let us add new experiences easily, and you can find them all right on the sidebar.
In addition to all of this we snuck in one more really exciting feature: free sub-ENS IDs for all Time Travelers! These are really awesome as you can now register names for all of your wallets and attach your web and social presence to them. We even smartly preset your sub-ENS background to match your new pixel art Time ID so you can show off your new names in style.
Software built to last
Time Capsule 2.0 was built around the idea of software creation and sales. Over the past 12 months the Timeweavers have produced at a terrific pace.
First we built out an in-house infrastructure stack that could support over 100,000 concurrent users across a half dozen chains with private nodes and load balancers to ensure peak performance with total privacy. Time Travelers got exclusive access to this network via a private RPC node, and this infrastructure provided us the ability to run billions of API calls that would have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars if delivered by a third party (yes, we got the quotes).
On top of this foundation we built and released Sidekick Web in December - a tool that lets you manage hundreds of wallets simultaneously, watch new NFT projects pop up in real-time, schedule mints for your wallet ahead of time, and mint across all of your wallets with just a few clicks. After several iterations, a visual update, whitelist presets, and mobile support, we decided to take it to the next level.
Within a mere 3 months we were able to build and release a full wallet browser extension which combined the best of Sidekick Web with all the core features you'd expect in a MetaMask replacement, culminating in Sidekick Wallet. Featuring higher security, faster performance, better user safety, and several trading-specific features, Sidekick launched as the most advanced wallet on the market. Over the next 2 months we released 8 updates, introduced brand new features like Listing Sniper and integration with over 20 exchanges, and hit over 1,000 wallets managed.
But that's not all! For the 1 year anniversary of the Time Capsule, we wanted to bring an even better main hub experience for Time Travelers, so we completely redesigned every part of the experience! From a brand new website, to updated smart contracts, a smarter Time management system, free ENS names, and a new pixel art Design Studio, Time Travelers can now experience a much more modern and refined Time Capsule experience every time they visit.
Compounding Returns
The question on everyone's lips is "what is Time worth now", and I'm happy to report that the biggest project to come out of the Capsule, Sidekick Wallet, has received commitments for $100,000 in funding from four angel investors putting Time holder's valuation at $1.5 million. This puts the intrinsic value of each piece of Time at over 0.5 ETH each! In addition we've received offers from Google and Alchemy for software credits totaling over $250,000 to support our servers and APIs over the next year.
This is an enormous win for Time Capsule participants as it represents a huge multiple of their Time (greater than 5x). It isn't liquid capital that can be withdrawn in full, but is a very real number to put on the underlying value. In addition, we have met with larger VCs who have laid out the path to a $20-30m valuation on a larger $2-5m seed round investment based on reaching certain performance metrics.
Neither the software credits nor the full company valuation are liquid capital that we can disburse today though, so what does that mean for Time Capsule 2.0? Your Time from the Capsule will transform into Sidekick Shards in your Vault, and will await any liquidity events that enable us to provide you with a withdrawal point, such as a token airdrop, funding round, or art/software sale.
Our original plans for liquidity were disrupted by the early departure of our artist, the collapse of FTX causing a 30% drop in ETH two weeks prior to our planned public mint of Sidekick Web, and a 90% year-over-year decrease in crypto venture funding. Despite these challenges we remain fully committed to delivering to you exceptional software experiences and significantly enhancing your Time.
Sidekick Wallet will continue to be our main development focus, and we have the ambitious goal of turning it into a billion dollar company within the next 5 years. We built our foundation from the start to support this level of growth, and have achieved several milestones in preparing for a broader audience by incorporating as a C-Corp in the US, registering within the EU as a financial trading entity, and signing a partnership with Coinbase for our expected token listing. This year we also hope to hire another front end developer, a designer, and a marketer to expand Sidekick's capabilities and reach.
