A Capsule for this Time
There's a lot to unpack today with tools, Timeweavers, and airdrops to discuss, so I hope you'll follow along with me as we reveal the pathway to Time Capsule 2.0 and the Future! The world of web3 moves fast, and there is a continual need to iterate. This has never been more true than in the current bear market, where dropping floors and low volume have made trading and investing very difficult. Even the safest of assets seem to be declining, and protecting your Time means evolving how the Time Capsule works for you.
We're going to extend the length of the Time Capsule from the original 3 month time period to 6 months. This will allow us to work with projects that might grow slower, but have a stronger basis since they're not so focused on short-term returns. We're bringing the focus off short-term gains onto longer-term value development.
Furthermore, there's going to be a large focus internally on building three different sets of products. The first is Time Traveler utilities - these will be tools and experiences you will get free access to as a Time Traveler. The second is commercial software - these will be tools that are built for internal use that are then turned into sellable products. The third is new IP - these will be art drops that will release as minted projects.
Each of these three new product sets will complement the original vision for the Time Capsule by delivering the sum value directly to Time Travelers. That means you'll get free tools, free mints on our in-house projects, and your Time will find more inherent value from everything being built.
This is why I've added three new highly talented individuals to the team - we call them Timeweavers. Each Timeweaver plays a crucial role in weaving the fabric of Time, utilizing their talents and skills to build a better Society for us all. You will get to meet each of them this week, and I think you'll be impressed with what you find.
To deliver all of this, we're going to be changing how you interact with Time as a brand. As a Time Traveler you're going to be minting a personalized access pass to the new Society of Time Travelers, and you'll be earning cosmetic as well as utility-focused rewards over the course of the Time Capsule that will give you new ways to show off and bring to life the journey you've taken in web3. You will be able to access all of this through a brand new web experience that will unveil July 1st.

Let's break down the details of how this transition will work. Beginning June 18th, you can log in to find three actions you can take - redeem, roll over, or acquire Time. You will have until June 30th to roll over or redeem your current Time, and until July 3rd to acquire.
The current Time Capsule ends on June 30th, and withdrawal requests will end that evening at midnight EST. At 5pm EST the following day, anyone who has not chosen to roll over their Time balance to the new Capsule will have their Time automatically redeemed to their depositing wallet. You can also manually make the choice ahead of time that you'd like to redeem your Time, and we'll have it prepped for quick disbursement.
If you choose to roll over your Time, you're going to see an immediate benefit - a 5% bonus to your Time balance in the new Capsule. This is because the fees that would be incurred from moving the contents of the current Capsule will not occur if they are left inside.
In addition, this week all current Time participants will receive an airdropped NFT that you can burn for a 5% bonus to any deposits made during this grand reopening. This NFT will be transferrable, so you will also be able to buy or sell them on the open market. On use however it is burned, so choose wisely. This is our gift to those who have believed in the project from the beginning.
One piece of feedback I heard loud and clear during previous open periods was that not everyone was able to find liquidity during such a short 1-2 day window, so for this new Time Capsule, we're extending the windows in which you can acquire or redeem Time. We'll be opening the Capsule on June 18th and leaving it open for two whole weeks, closing on July 3rd. You will be able to deposit on a continual basis during this period, so can accumulate Time at your pace as you find liquidity.
If you choose to redeem your Time during this period, a bulk redemption will be sent out on July 1st. You'll receive a preliminary valuation of your Time on June 18th, and then a finalized number on June 30th when the Genesis Time Capsule has come to completion.
The way we keep track of Time balances has evolved as well, building on the new format introduced in April. Instead of receiving many individual NFTs each representing one Time token, you will have a single membership NFT that will act as your personalized key to all aspects of the Time Traveler's Society, including the Time Vault. There you can view and manage your Time balance as well as make decisions regarding it in the future. You'll also be able to display your current Time balance directly on your NFT pass if you choose, making it even simpler to keep track.
This new format will allow us to count fractional Time, delivering exact bonuses and higher precision redemptions in the future.
