Happy New Year!
Hello friends!
It’s been quite a series of events in crypto over the past 6 months, and as we wrap up 2022 I wanted to catch you all up on what we’ve accomplished this year and are looking forward to in the next.
Our goal with the new Society of Time Travelers was an ambitious one – to build a suite of products that improved your web3 life while bringing additional art and value to holders. We intended to punctuate the months with regular art drops while we worked on the software that would power the Time Traveler’s experience, culminating in some public launches that could also provide sustainable revenue to grow the community and scope of what we accomplished.
Unfortunately our artist had to step away a month into the project to deal with personal situations that made work infeasible for them at the time. While we interviewed several artists over the next two months and received samples from over dozen applicants, we did not end up finding one that was the right fit for our team, so we were unable to execute on our art goals this year.
When we realized that a large source of our revenue and delivery goals was going to be missing, we doubled down on producing user-centric software that would not only be useful to current Time Travelers, but could also be marketed and sold to the broader market. With one of the most prominent examples of profitable software being minting software, we decided to develop our own version and created Sidekick – a multiwallet that enables users to mint safer via disposable wallets, schedule transactions to mint automatically when sales open, and manage your gas to ensure you have the highest chance of minting while still using reasonable gas.
Building this product involved creating a host of necessary components that will not only be useful to Time Travelers today, but also provide the foundation of future products. Examples of this are a private RPC node that we developed to provide uncapped requests at high performance, a memory pool scanner to identify transactions in transit, an archival tool so that historical performance could be efficiently calculated on-demand, gas-optimized batch ETH and NFT-sending contracts, and many more.
These components will be invaluable in building our next software products which are slated to include tax preparation software, as well as an in-browser multi-wallet extension to extend the functionality of Sidekick to make all of your transactions faster and cheaper.

Now at this point you might be asking – this is all cool stuff, but what about my Time?
There are 3 steps we’re taking to maximize your Time.
Step 1: All Time Travelers will have permanent access to all of the tools we build. We’re publishing our three major software tools to the Time website so that every Time holder can view and access them in one place. These include Sidekick – our multiwallet minting software, Valet - a private RPC node that provides a more private and performant interface between you and the blockchain, and PowerUp – our brand new minting standard that offers creators an alternative to overallocated allowlists and botted public mints via a refundable presale. We’ll continue to add to this list as we develop even more tools for our Time Travelers.
Step 2: We’re extending the length of this Time Capsule through June 30th for everyone. Instead of our customary open period for new users to enter or current users to exit, we’re going to be continuing the build cycle for another 6 months as we haven’t been able to accomplish everything we desired yet. This is because of what we intend to do in step 3.
Step 3: The Time Capsule is going to attempt a leap to the big leagues via VC funding. We’ve discovered that the vision we have for what we want to contribute to web3 is much larger than what we can accomplish with just the three of us in 6 months, and with the state of the broader market we’re seeking a multi-million dollar raise from outside capital to hire a larger team to deliver higher quality products on a more rapid pace as well as create significant value for every Time holder.
That means that yes – we want you who have participated in the Time Capsule at this early stage to be the primary recipients of the value created without further dilution from new money coming in. Beyond just tools, we want to bring tangible yield to Time Travelers, and by pursuing VC funding our value for current Timeholders should be tremendously increased vs purely operating via consumer market sales.
So that's our update for 2022! Tool releases, roadmap updates, and hopefully an exciting future for 2023. We will continue to execute on our vision for the Society of Time Travelers and deliver value to you for the year to come.
Happy New Year!
